Boasting
a massive 3hp / 80 amp output, the Outback Battery charger from Christie
Engineering is sure to be a hit with travellers or campers who dont
have ready acess to a source of 240 volt power for charging their 12
volt battery systems.
This
Australian designed petrol driven battery charger weighs 22kg with a
1.2 litre fuel capacity. Powered by a small 100cc Honda four stroke
motor with a 2 year warranty, the unit is solidly constructed from high
quality components and has a large LED charge indicator light. They
features an Australian made Bosch 120 amp alternators and have 2 regulated
charge rates for low and high output. All the models have overcharge
protection, so there is no risk of destroying the batteries.
The Outback
Battery Charger can also function as a backup generator for 12 volt
solar power systems and has additional applications for farmers and
rural people in general. Fuel consumption is about 0.75 Litres of unleaded
fuel per hour. By using locally made components combined with well-serviced
Honda technology, Christie Engineering can ensure fast turn around times
for service and parts when the need arises.
