Christie Engineering is a proudly family-owned and operated Australian business, specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality OEM products for a wide range of industries including agriculture, mining, and construction.
Founded by Les Christie, the company is now actively managed by Les and his two sons, Peter and Michael, who bring hands-on leadership and deep industry knowledge to the business. Our experienced team includes an on-site draftsperson, boilermaker, hydraulics specialist, fitter machinist, electronics expert, and skilled assembly and service staff, enabling us to deliver end-to-end solutions across multiple sectors.
We work closely with trusted third-party partners for CNC machining, laser cutting, zinc plating, powder coating, and foundry services, ensuring consistent quality and access to the best manufacturing technologies available.
Over the years, Christie Engineering has developed and delivered a variety of innovative solutions, including soil sampling equipment, custom hydraulic drill rigs, and battery chargers. Our most well-known innovation is the Petrol Post Driver. A revolutionary tool that has transformed fencing operations and sold thousands of units globally.

Christie Engineering was established in 1982 by Les Christie, who began as an owner-operator specialising in hydraulic servicing and the manufacturing of custom machinery. With a strong focus on quality workmanship and hands-on expertise, the business quickly built a reputation for reliable, tailored engineering solutions.
In 2006, Les’s sons, Michael and Peter Christie, officially joined the business. Their involvement marked the beginning of a new era of growth and innovation. Together, they expanded the team, added specialised staff, and broadened the company’s capabilities to serve a wider range of industries.
Today, Christie Engineering continues to evolve, combining decades of experience with forward-thinking design and manufacturing to deliver high-performance equipment across the agriculture, mining, and construction sectors.
